Find answers to common questions about the USGA Championship Event Housing Portal
Getting Started
To sign in for the first time:
- Navigate to the login page
- Click the "Login" button
- If you don't have an account yet, you'll be prompted to either login or create a new account - click "Sign up now"
- Enter your email address to receive a verification code
- Check your email inbox for the verification code and enter it to verify your email address
- Create a secure password for your account
- Complete your profile details
- Once registration is complete, you can sign in with your credentials
Note: Make sure to use a valid email address as all portal communications and verification codes will be sent there.
For Property Hosts
To add a property listing:
- Log in to your Host account
- Navigate to your Host Dashboard
- Click the Add New Listing button
- Fill in the Add New Listing Form including:
- Associated Event: Select the championship event your property will be available for
- Property Details: Property name, type, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, maximum guests, and description
- Location Details: Full address, city, state, ZIP code, and distance to course
- Amenities and Features: Select available amenities like WiFi, parking, pool, pet-friendly options, etc.
- Click "Publish Listing" to submit your listing for review
Important: All listings must be approved by USGA administrators before appearing to guests.
To add images to your property:
- After you add your listing, you will see an Image Management section
- In this section you can:
- Upload new images: Click "Upload" and select image files (JPG, PNG)
- Set primary image: Select which image appears first
- Delete images: Remove unwanted photos
- Reorder images: Drag and drop to change display order
- You can also manage images later by editing your listing from the Host Dashboard
Tips for great property photos:
- Use natural lighting when possible
- Show all bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Include exterior shots of the property
- Highlight special amenities (pool, patio, etc.)
- Ensure images are clear and in focus
For Guests
To search for available properties:
- Navigate to the Browse Listings page
- Use the search filters to narrow down options:
- Championship event
- Number of guests
- Number of bedrooms
- Price range
- Click on any listing to view full details
- Review photos, amenities, and pricing information
- Click the "Reserve Now" button to book your accommodation
To make a reservation:
- Sign up for a Guest account if you haven't already (see "How do I sign in for the first time?" above)
- Find a property you're interested in
- Click the "Reserve Now" button
- Review the booking details and pricing
- Fill out your guest details including contact information
- Accept the terms and conditions
- Click "Confirm Reservation" to submit your request
- Wait for confirmation from the host and USGA admin
Note: Reservations are not confirmed until approved by both the property host and USGA administrators.
